Tiger Torture
or
If At First You Don't Succeed ...
Around 2005/6, I had an idea to have a go at creating a short animation film. As tigers are one of my passions, it only felt right that was to be the theme. I had a rough idea of the story, and I also decided it would be set to music.
As I have already mentioned earlier, I was having problems importing characters into Vue fully clothed, so I thought I'd have a go at a tiger. I was still a bit of a novice at this DAZ/Vue combination, so first results were not encouraging.
My first tiger render in DAZ was a complete genetic disaster. I made a mistake with the morph settings, and ended up with a lioness wearing a tiger skin.
After these two attempts, there was only one thing for it. Get the hang of importing objects.
The texture map on the tiger doesn't come through with the fine hair as seen in the DAZ renders, but there probably is a way around which I haven't found yet.
Filled with optimism, I tried importing a Poser character into Vue.
In this short 10 second sequence, I made the sun rise a bit quicker than it would do, so I could see what sort of effect I would get.
To speed up the rendering time, I made it at a fairly low resolution, but it still took the best part of a day to complete. Rendered in Vue 7 Complete.
This is still an on-going project, and more pictures will be added later.
